Welcome to June!

Welcome to June! If you are an older adult, you may be attending a graduation or two…or three…joyfully sending a young person off to create his/her future.

What about YOUR future? What’s next for YOU?

LifeCircle would like to recommend a resource here in Fairfax County to help you plan for what lies ahead. The Positive Aging Coalition’s goal is to develop a "Next Chapter" for Northern Virginia. “Next Chapter” projects are community coalitions across the country, who are working to help people in their second half of life to set a course; connect with peers; and find pathways to meaningful work and significant service in their communities. http://positiveagingcoalition.wordpress.com/about/ Its goals are to:

  • Provide Intergenerational Opportunities
  • Promote Social Connectedness
  • Develop Community Partnerships
  • Encourage Personal Renewal
  • Be Involved in Building Leadership
  • Encourage Volunteering and Civic Engagement
  • Provide Opportunities to Give Back
  • Help Non-Profits Understand How to Use the New Volunteer
